Post subject: Ted downloading windows Media files?

Twice now I have downloaded "Camelot" that said they were avi files but when trying to play them on my Mac it says I need Windows media player to play them. Then it stops playing. I cannot trash the items afterwards. It says that the item is in use. I have all players non-functioning. I am only using Ted to find these torrents. Are these files mal ware?
These files are tagged with an EZTV in the title of the file. Anybody else have this problem. This has now happened with several shows I have tried to download.

This sounds like it might be a trojan horse disguised as video. There's one that takes advantage of windows media player, so it causes what looks like an error message telling you to use windows media player.
