I have managed to get the tray item working in Linux now (only tested gnome), but i need some more information from people with the problem.

If anyone can let me know if they are experiencing the problem and what architecture they are using (x86 or x64) that would be great.

and if there is anyone using other Desktop Environments ( really KDE) could you let me know if it works/how it looks?!

and when i say I've got it working, it doesn't mean it looks pretty

Well, for a first try it doesn't look that bad to me We could make a seperate icon to use on Linux so that it'll fit nicer in to the tray.

If you could mail your changes to we can have a look at them and discuss on how to continue!

(So I assume you've located the main class in Eclipse)

ok, i've sent an email.

to be honest i gave up on eclipse and used the netbeans subversion plugin, and got it working. I prefer netbeans anyway!!
