Post subject: no checking while in standby

my computer doesnt check for new torrents when it is in stand by mode. is there a way it can wake up and check on its own, without me having to manually wake it up?

check if your PC has an scheduler for wake and sleep (in bios). I did this for a while before my WHS. I set the PC bios to wake at midnight and for TED to start automatically. Then in power settings make your PC go to sleep after X amount of time idle (not great for actually downloading since torrents could be downloading when your PC goes back to sleep but it would get all the feeds loaded).
