Probably should have started a new thread on this error.

: you've used the dev build right? Maybe something went wrong there...

If you rename the shows.ted file (or delete it but then you won't have it anymore :)) will ted then start? It looks like your shows file is corrupted or something.

Ah. Seems that where it - just renamed my $HOME/.Torrent Episode Downloader folder. Copied the tedv097 of the 823 SVN to my server. No go, but, the *.zip of the same SVN worked like a sharm.

Any easy way to get back my config, so I don't need to add all the shows manually again ? Well, don't stress about it if there aint.

Very happy to see a new version of TED up and running. Thanks alot guys for your effort. Donation in your way soon.

could you please (if you still have it) send shows.ted and config.ted of your 0.96 ted (from your document/settings folder) to so we can investigate this problem further and release a fix?

We found the problem and fixed it. sorting shows caused a crash on shows without an episode schedule.

For everyone who has problems starting ted 0.97:
Right-click and save as this new ted.jar and copy it over your ted 0.97 installation.

We will release this fix in official installers as soon as we finish testing. Please let us know if this fixes your problems!

I too had this problem, I patched the .97 with the jar and ted.exe still would not run even after renaming my TED folder in %appdata%. What I found did work though is running directly form the ted.jar (simply by double clicking on it as if it were an exe). The first time it locked up (said something about looking for shows with predefined values, or something along those lines), but I just killed it and started it again and now it works fine (though not through ted.exe just ted.jar works).

I was so happy when you released 0.97 and it worked great for me.
Then I got 0.971 today thought, ooh, even more goodies, and installed.
(I made sure to shut down ted before updating.)
This killed it!

Now I don't even get an error...
Removing shows.ted did not fix it.
Nor did renaming entire ted folder. (Oh, and I use XP x64)

I can run the jar manually too and it works :)
(I backed up my %appdata%/ted folder too.)

sorry for all that trouble with 64bit systems, we seem to use some incompatible stuff but we don't have access to 64bit systems to test, so we have trouble fixing all these issues...
I think my sister just got a 64bit vista laptop, maybe I should grab that in the name of the ted community :P

Something that may help you find out what it is:
I tried going back to 0.97 and 0.96 and get the same issue with them now.
This would mean that something has been changed when installing 0.971 that is not reset when going back to 0.97 or 0.96...
