One of the features of ted is that it comes with a date property for every show that you add to ted. This date property is implemented to take care of fake episodes that are sometimes posted in the rss-feeds. The date keeps track of the date of the last downloaded torrent for this show by ted. ted only parses torrents that are added after this date.
So if ted finds an episode that turns out to be a fake you can set the episode number back and let ted parse this show again. The date now makes sure that only items posted after the fake episode (= the last downloaded episode) are parsed. This will make sure that ted does not download the fake episode again and hopefully get you a good episode.
If for some reason you want ted to parse all the torrents in the feed again, you can set this date to zero by going to the edit screen of a show, click the advanced tab and click the "Reset date" button.
